Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Tisculo |
Planet type | Small hot gas planet |
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 150°K (-123°C) at night to 560°K (287°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
The sulfur dioxide has probably photodissociated, and the free carbon monoxide has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind because of the lack of a argon layer.
A prominent result is the "great brown spot", a giant storm that is known to have existed for centuries since it was first observed by radar. |
