| This planet is named after the deity Roshi-pi, the bringer of fear.
Roshi-pi is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 696°K (423°C).
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Roshi-pi due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 5 percent of Kapyu Jumya's, except at the lowest elevations for limited periods. The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 8 meters.
Like some of the other huge cold gas giants, Roshi-pi has a ring system, a magnetosphere, and numerous moons, Zusabyo Kofu being the most famous one. The Roshi-pi system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Roshi-pi approached its equinox 6 years ago. |
