It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 58°K (-215°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with nitric oxide thought to make up the lowest clouds, and ethane the uppermost layer of clouds.
The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries. |
