| Fictional info (?) |
| Suggested name | Shoge |
| Planet type | Hot planet |
| As seen from TOI-1001 A, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years.
The polar regions are constantly below 117°K (-156°C).
It may have had methane oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator).
The oceans are entirely populated by hostile poisonous plants, the "Tejiko", which feed by killing a substance called "Pyowasu" at night. Most Tejiko are not related to Yopabyu but have 8 legs and vary in length from 28 to 42 cm. Tejiko are able to survive temperatures from -60 to -30°C and to some degree ultra violet light which is common on Shoge. |
