Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Pyate |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 150°K (-123°C) at night to 1225°K (952°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators.
One of this planet's pleasant moons is dangerous because of the harmless stone-age plants that survive by eating something called Nusu Joshu. They are related to the Maposu Yo and have fur and vary in length from 15 to 34 mm. The Pewa can withstand temperatures from -10 to 10°C and prolonged periods without food which is common near the poles. |
