Suggested namePena
Planet typeHuge cold gas giant
It is a huge cold gas giant planet with a mass one-thousandth that of @STARNAME, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 45°K (-228°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with helium thought to make up the lowest clouds, and nitrogen the uppermost layer of clouds.

Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 130°K (-143°C) at night to 350°K (77°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.

The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 15 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.
