Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Garet |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to PSR J1301+0833, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 104 days.
The nitrogen has probably photodissociated, and the free ethane has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind because of the lack of a carbon dioxide layer. |
Atmosphere | Ethane | 98% |
Hydrogen deuteride (HD) | 1.1% |
Nitrogen | 0.51% |
Carbon dioxide | 8.8E-5% |
Atmospheric pressure | 8 bar |
