Suggested nameRetsu-kozo-re
Planet typeLarge cold gas giant
In English, Retsu-kozo-re is often referred to as the "blue planet" because the carbon dioxide prevalent on its surface gives it a slight blue appearance that is distinctive among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.

It is a large cold gas giant planet with a mass one-thousandth that of OGLE-2019-BLG-0249, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. When viewed from Tashi Byo, Retsu-kozo-re can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. This planet is named after the deity Retsu-kozo-re, the spirit of dreams.

It may have had water oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.

There are ongoing investigations assessing the future terraforming potential of Retsu-kozo-re, as well as the possibility of extant life.

In late February 2300, Retsu-kozo-re was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Retsu-kozo-re's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Tashi Byo.

The surface is populated by hostile and terraformed plants, the "Yawomo-chaba", which feed in deep valleys while consuming the Roshone-shi during the day. Most of them are not related to the Raoshagu, have 7 eyes and vary in length from 70 to 80 cm. The Yawomo-chaba are able to live at temperatures from 40 to 90°C and sometimes prolonged periods without food which is common on this planet.
