Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Yechyu |
Planet type | Terrestrial |
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 125°K (-148°C) at night to 560°K (287°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 23 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.
Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator).
The largest moon is crowded with small earth-like herbivores known as "Woyyuan". They feed only while eating something called Qeng Wob. They are similar to the Aocye Zhwang but have 2 tentacles and vary in length from 50 to 80 cm. Woyyuan can survive temperatures from 30 to 90°C and sometimes the acidic environment which is rare on this planet. |
