Suggested nameBilao
Planet typeCold planet
This cold planet is named after the deity Bilao, the messenger of love and beauty.

As seen relative to the fixed stars, it rotates on its axis exactly three times for every three revolutions it makes around Kepler-1653.

Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 115°K (-158°C) at night to 735°K (462°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.

Two spacecraft have visited Bilao: Frontier 7 flew by 45 years ago; and Messenger, launched 11 years ago, orbited Bilao over 90 times in four years before exhausting its plasma drive and crashing into the planet's atmosphere 7 years later.

The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of frozen gas.
