Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Fiwe |
Planet type | Hot planet |
Its orbital period around Kepler-1002 A of 4.3 earth days is the shortest of all the planets in its solar system.
The carbon monoxide has probably photodissociated, and the free water vapor has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind because of the lack of a ozone layer.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 9 meters.
Because of its rapid rotation, the planet's shape is that of an oblate spheroid (it has a slight but noticeable bulge around the equator). |
Atmosphere | Water vapor | 64% |
Ethane | 21% |
Carbon monoxide | 14% |
Ozone | 0.14% |
Carbon dioxide | 0.0002% |
Molecular hydrogen | 1.5E-5% |
Nitrogen | 1.0E-6% |
Atmospheric pressure | 0.5 bar |
