It is named after the deity Anapi-w, the bringer of the sea.

An observer on Anapi-w would therefore see only one summer every five years.

Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 95°K (-178°C) at night to 1085°K (812°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.

Anapi-w is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.

In late February 3000, Anapi-w was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Anapi-w's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Usarig.

The Anapi-w system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit.

Planet is known for its large medieval oceanic creatures known as "Ruxatefu". They spend their life there by eating the Xamop plant if they can. They are believed to be not related to Uwas but have 7 eyes and vary in length from 9 to 14 meters. Most Ruxatefu are known to withstand temperatures from 50 to 80°C and sometimes near-vacuum which is rare on this planet.
