Suggested nameShikio
Planet typeHot gas giant
This planet is named after the deity Shikio, the creator of chaos.

Like Sohyu Gyo, Shikio has been orbiting HAT-P-45 for 2 billion years, and never exceeds 22 degrees away from HAT-P-45.

Shikio is gravitationally locked with HAT-P-45 in a 2:1 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.

As the closest planet to Sohyu Gyo, Shikio has been a prime target for early extra solar exploration.

The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 24 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.

Future astrobiology missions are planned, including the Shikio 1600 and ExoShikio rovers.

Its apparent magnitude reaches -3, which is surpassed only by Sohyu Gyo, Ryomo, and HAT-P-45.

Wind speeds can reach 59 metres per second.
