| Fictional info (?) |
| Suggested name | Nkochu Gyu |
| Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
| As seen relative to the fixed stars, it rotates on its axis exactly three times for every three revolutions it makes around @STARNAME.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 55°K (-218°C) at night to 980°K (707°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of rock. |
