Suggested nameGaret
Planet typeHuge cold gas giant
Garet is the fourth planet from PSR J1301+0833 and the second-smallest planet in its solar system. Orbiting within Fenqeq Pan's orbit, Garet is an inferior planet and never appears to venture far from PSR J1301+0833; its maximum angular distance from PSR J1301+0833 (elongation) is 29 degrees.

Garet is similar in composition to Fenqeq Pan, and both have different bulk chemical composition from that of the larger huge cold gas giants. The planet is named after the deity Garet, the creator of nature.

The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to PSR J1301+0833, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 104 days.

The nitrogen has probably photodissociated, and the free ethane has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind because of the lack of a carbon dioxide layer.

As the closest planet to Fenqeq Pan, Garet has been a prime target for early extra solar exploration.

Future targets for exploration in the Garet system include the probable ice-covered liquid ocean of its moon Culodana Liaq.
