Two spacecraft have visited Pobyuyu Bya: Daedalus 3 flew by 48 years ago; and Messenger, launched 10 years ago, orbited Pobyuyu Bya over 105 times in four years before exhausting its plasma drive and crashing into the planet's surface 11 years later.
The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 80 bar, or roughly the pressure found 1530 m under the oceans of Hezashu-pe.
The Pobyuyu Bya system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. |
