Suggested nameZosu
Planet typeHot planet
It is named after the deity Zosu, the god of the sky.

As seen relative to the fixed stars, it rotates on its axis exactly four times for every five revolutions it makes around K2-127.

Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 50°K (-223°C) at night to 455°K (182°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.

It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.

Zosu is the site of Celestium Tower, the tallest volcano and second-highest known mountain in its solar system, and of Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in its solar system. The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 13 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.

Zosu can easily be seen from Bopo'ze with the naked eye, as can its orangeish coloring.

The latest probe to visit the planet is Pointer, which entered into orbit around Zosu after a lengthy voyage.
