Suggested nameGyoub
Planet typeCold planet
Gyoub is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Gyoub is orbiting HD 108874 every 1600 Earth days.

This cold planet is named after the deity Gyoub, the spirit of hate.

Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 55°K (-218°C) at night to 945°K (672°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.

Gyoub is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light.

Two of Gyoub's moons, Shyingf and Chan Yun, are are quite oddly shaped.

Gyoub can easily be seen from Ying'zhwangf with the naked eye, as can its orangeish coloring.

In late February 3300, Gyoub was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Gyoub's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Ying'zhwangf.

Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators.
