| Esis Arequ is the only habitable planet orbiting HAT-P-2 and one of the smallest in its solar system. The planet is named after the deity Esis Arequ, the bringer of the sky.
As the closest planet to Yvatode Lonu, Esis Arequ has been a prime target for early interplanetary exploration.
Liquid water cannot exist on the surface of Esis Arequ due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 6 percent of Yvatode Lonu's, except at the lowest elevations for limited periods.
In 1490, images from Frontier 5 showed Esis Arequ as an almost featureless planet in visible light, without the cloud bands or storms associated with the other huge hot gas giants. Wind speeds can reach 104 metres per second. |
